Delete Your KnoBox Account
Account deletion happens entirely inside the KnoBox Android app — there's no separate web form. Follow the steps below on the device you're signed in on.
How to delete your account
- Open KnoBox and go to Settings.
- Under Sync across devices, confirm you're signed in (you'll see "Signed in as your@email.com").
- Tap Delete account, then confirm.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account immediately and permanently removes everything it owns server-side: your saved bookmarks, AI summaries, tags, folders, and chat history, along with your email address and account record itself. This can't be undone, and there's no additional retention period — nothing lingers server-side after deletion completes.
The app also clears its local, on-device copy of that data as part of the same action. If you'd rather keep using KnoBox without an account afterward, you can — a fresh, anonymous, device-only library starts from empty.
Deleting only some of your data
You don't have to delete your whole account to remove data. Deleting an individual bookmark — from the Dashboard or the bookmark's own detail screen — removes it from KnoBox's servers immediately, whether or not you're signed in.
Never signed in?
If you've used KnoBox without ever signing in, your data isn't tied to an account — it's scoped only to that device's own anonymous identifier. Uninstalling the app removes everything stored on-device. To request deletion of that anonymous device data server-side as well, email support@knobox.app.
